Dear Gordon
Alex Smith over on LabourList has reproduced Gordon Brown’s latest mass email. My response is underneath.
Dear Alex,
Later today I will be flying to America to represent you at the Pittsburgh G20 and the United Nations.
I’m going to be fighting for a lot of causes close to our hearts – collective action on the global economy to save jobs, a deal to protect our planet as we prepare for Copenhagen and a new plan to provide free health care – modelled on our beloved NHS – to people in Africa.
Making the world a better place was the focus of my remarks at the TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) conference earlier this year:
A commitment to progressive internationalism was one of the things that first brought me in to politics, and I’m proud of Labour’s record:
* The world’s first Climate Change Act.
* Cancelling the debts of the world’s poorest people.
* Setting a timetable for 0.7% on aid.
* Banning cluster bombs.
* Signing Britain up to the social chapter.
We’ve done so much together – but it would all be put at risk by the Conservatives. When they were last in office they slashed aid and left our country isolated and irrelevant in Europe.
If you want to see Labour’s work for global justice continue, I hope you’ll share the TED talk with your friends and encourage them to sign up to our Labour movement.
We will change the world the only way people have ever changed it – together.
Best wishes
Gordon
Here is my message in reply:
Dear Gordon,
The very last thing the people of the world need is a global society. People and regimes have tried to conquer the world before. Alexander the Great; Roman Emperors; Attila the Hun; Genghis Khan; Napoleon; Hitler.
They couldn’t own the world through military might.
This new war for the world is being waged against us by those who control the global organisations which you are handing over power to. Yes – *handing over*. Volunteering our sovereignty to the EU. Signing up to anti-British legislation. Destroying our culture to integrate us into a global surveillance society. This is treason, sir! You are more dangerous than a hundred Vidkun Quislings.
You wrote in your email, “We will change the world the only way people have ever changed it – together.”
You write nonsense in an attempt to sell your treacherous ideas. People who change the world for the better tend to stand alone. They fight against injustice, unlike you, who allows it to flourish, because for some reason, you consider your country’s heritage with its values and many worthy institutions worth dismantling to deliver your people into a colony of a global network of corrupt and largely unaccountable bureaucracies and multinational corporations which are spread across the planet.
Naturally, you also trash the last Tory government. They are bought and paid for by the same global criminal network as yourself and Tony Blair.
I would like to see you both tried for treason.
Yours sincerely,
Stewart Cowan

Pretty good, but I would like to have seen more personal abuse for the vile deceiver currently disgracing himself, the nation and the office of Prime Minister.
His head in a basket would be good enough for me – after being tried by a jury of his peers and found guilty, naturally.
