The BBC and Islam

The Swiss have just voted in a referendum to ban minarets. In the BBC’s article, Swiss referendum ‘reflects unease with Islam’, Roger Hardy writes,

It is true enough that the country has its own individual form of popular democracy – and that it is home to only 320,000 Muslims, between 4% and 5% of the population.

Wikipedia states,

In 2009 there were an estimated 400,000 Muslims in Switzerland, accounting to around 5% of the total population.

But regardless of exact figures, trust a BBC journalist to use the word “only” in this context. The UK is ‘only’ 3% Muslim and look at the characters we have! Even worse is the home-grown institutionalised hatred of things traditionally British due to the ‘fear of causing offence’. Or the fear of being charged with a ‘hate’ crime. Or the fear of being considered a ‘racist’. Or the fear of being labelled a crusty old dinosaur or Little Englander.

But it is not just in Switzerland that the presence of growing Muslim communities has polarised opinion.

I’m sure everyone realises that!

A series of controversies from the Rushdie affair 20 years ago to the more recent row over Danish cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad have reflected the unease that many Europeans feel about this relatively new Muslim presence.

Yes, and the rest.

This is not confined to a few tabloid newspapers or a few xenophobic right-wing parties.

In other words, it’s not just the Daily Mail and the Tories: normal people also have reservations.

It is an Islamophobia driven by a variety of factors.

Ah! He’s used the “I” word. If you are concerned about the issue, it means you have a psychiatric illness.

Since the attacks of 9/11 in the United States, and the bombings in Madrid and London, Muslims have often been regarded as a security threat.

I wonder why. More of that islamophobia, probably. Of course, those of us who believe in US Government involvement on 9/11 and have looked at the very dodgy circumstances surrounding both Madrid and London, are generally more worried about the government.

They are seen as not just resistant to integration, but determined to impose their values on the Christian or post-Christian societies of the West.

They are ’seen’ this way because it’s the truth. D’oh! Of course, some of the so-called moderate Muslims will fit in, but they’re not the ones trying to change society for everyone else.

For governments anxious to maintain social harmony at home and good relations with Muslim governments abroad, this poses a set of difficult dilemmas.

The rubbishing of our culture and Judeo-Christian beliefs is what threatens social harmony. As for maintaining good relations with Muslim governments, well, I guess it all boils down to money. Kowtowing at home and abroad seems to be the British way now.

And for many of the estimated 15 million Muslims in Western Europe, the Swiss vote will be seen as one more sign that – whatever governments may say – they are simply not welcome.

Welcome or not: what do you think?

The biased reporting of BBC and Sky is becoming more and more apparent to more and more people, particularly in regard to all things Islamic. Take, for example, the way of reporting the recent terrorist attacks against a civilian train in Russia over the weekend, killing dozens and maiming even more. Take the dirty trick of waiting for the emergency services to arrive before detonating a secondary device. Then ask why the word ‘muslim’ is never used in the reports of these matters, when the persons responsible are motivated by their ‘faith’?

Islam and Christianity are totally incompatible. Christians need to realise this fact and quickly. That the majority of the UK is now secular is irrelevant, because Islam and secular democracy are also totally incompatible.

Solutions? Well, a good place to start from would have been ‘not here’, but if we don’t do something, and now, it will be game over within 30 years (confer Kosovo, not a separate country, but a district of Serbia in the same way as Birmingham, Burnley, Bradford and London are all districts of the UK).

We could close our borders to all immigrants, regardless of religion. The UK is full.

We could deport all those who are here illegally, and those that commit crimes whilst here as our guests.

We could change the planning laws, and the tone of our Government’s dealings with visitors, so that they realise they cannot build their empire here, nor expect us to fit in with them, but they with us.

We could stop spending literally hundreds of millions of pounds providing translations of Gov documents and the like in dozens of languages, and also deny benefits and school places to those who cannot speak English. They must attend English lessons first, and the cost of these lessons must be borne by themselves.

Medical treatment should not be given to those who have contributed absolutely nothing to our medical insurance scheme, the NHS. It is not free, it is a colossal expense to the public purse and is stretched beyond breaking point. This is not to say that medicine should be denied all in these circumstances, but that so called ‘health tourism’ should be eradicated, and quickly.

Any persons finding these new systems unpalatable could be assisted in returning to their country of origin, using legislation which already exists (introduced by the Tories over 20 years ago). This would involve the provision of transport home and a small amount of cash to assist with resettlement. The cost of this scheme would pale into insignificance when compared with the monstrous costs we are already paying to and for immigrants.

If, when reading these suggestions, you feel slightly annoyed that I dare say such things, it’s too late for you. You have succumbed to the spin and propaganda that says ‘Immigration is good for the UK’, and ‘Islam is the religion of peace’. Your self righteous anger will not keep you warm when the lights go out, nor when the ‘kuffar’ are to be disposed of.

EV I fully agree with you but I think we are now so controlled by the state that its too late to do anything. The rot started with way Enoch Powell was treated. What he was saying was popular up and down the country but the state didn’t let a small thing like that get in the way. The type of democracy that the Swiss enjoy will never happen here.

The only party that would be prepared to do what you suggest is the BNP. My problem with them is that they are basically a socialist party that believe in a big state apparatus and with that in mind, although I agree with a lot of that they say, I would still fear for my freedom from state tyranny.

It would probably take a revolution( preferably non violent) to change things here and we are now so controlled that it would never get of the ground.

    EV,

Yes, the only thing Islam is compatible with is Islam. People are waking up – next, they need to buck up!

    Maturecheese,

Welcome. Your comments will now be accepted without moderation (posts with more than one link get held up).

The big problem we have is the LibLabCon Party. Maybe, just maybe, folk will start seeing through this as well. I think many already are, but like you say, it means the BNP are picking up votes.
