Gordon spews forth in Coventry

In a very unbelievable and silly speech in Coventry today, the Gorgon set out his vision for a fairer Britain. It sounded well done, actually, so that millions of gullible folk will fall for it yet again, in a sort of “fair-for-families” Groundhog Day way.

I left the following comments on Tom Harris’s blog:

Oh, Tom, it’s pure waffle, that’s all it is.

Labour’s “record” = money spent on schools and hospitals is due to PFI; wars; knackered the economy; drove out industry; “more police” to cheese off the public with petty rules; and of course allowed mass immigration to re-engineer society; etc.

Labour’s (i.e. our) future = more laws; more division in society; less (or zero) sovereignty; more taxes (global climate change scam taxes and EU tax ‘harmonisation’); more wars if Obama gives the nod; more debt; higher prices; etc.

Notice at the end how Gordon reinforces the mindset that the only choice for us proles is ‘them’ (i.e. Tories) or ‘us’. Sensible, honest, decent folk have been taking a hard look at New Labour and the Tories and rejecting both for want of something that really is FAIR!

Fair taxation and redistribution

Fair treatment of the British people and culture

Fair laws and regulations

Fair chances for British industry

Fair treatment of smokers (that one’s for you, Frank)

Fair say: the freedom to express an opinion without fear of the ‘authorities’ becoming involved

P.S. Does anyone else feel scared when Gordon smiles?

  • I braced myself to view this earlier this evening Stewart. He spoke rather well, but of course he’s pleading for his political life.

I’m all for fair treatment for smokers. :)

Oh, just heard of a tweet which is a parody on ‘a fair future for all’. It’s ‘a fete worse than death’.

    I liked it anyway. :)

He spoke well and looked confident. If only he practised what he preached.

The new catchphrase seems to have been made for parodying. Maybe it was deliberate? Hard to see anyone at HQ keeping a straight face when Dougie announced it.

  • “P.S. Does anyone else feel scared when Gordon smiles?”

It’s as false as the ’smile’ on a dolphin, just the way his mouth is shaped.

  • English Viking

The man is mentally ill, obviously.

    Julia,

I bet dolphins’ smiles are more genuine. And they don’t scare me.

    English,

He surely is. I wonder what excuse Labour voters have for sticking with him. They let someone lie to them constantly because they have so little self-esteem?
