		<description>Thanks for your comments, SR. Personally, I think that the modern woman doesn&#039;t understand what&#039;s being said here, or indeed, what a healthy relationship entails. I don&#039;t actually know any women who consider themselves non-entities - but I know a lot of men who do. Perhaps this is due to their traditional role as father, protector and breadwinner being constantly undermined.

Men and women&#039;s roles are different, and thank goodness for that!</description>

		<description>I think the words &#039;submit&#039; and &#039;silent&#039; need to be interpreted for the modern day.  For some male to preach these to me I would consider he was suggesting I enter slavery.  I&#039;ve witnessed women who live by this rule.  Some handle it well but they&#039;re usually a much stronger character than their husbands.  The majority just sink into oblivion and consider themselves non-entities.  The men have no respect for them whatsoever.  It wasn&#039;t a good sermon to give, or should I say it wasn&#039;t a well-worded sermon.

I&#039;m all for the family being a proper unit Stewart.  The balance of women within marriage hasn&#039;t changed that much but no person should EVER control another.</description>
