Not necessarily a case of black and white anymore

The papers are reporting that the BNP. Sorry, I’ll start that again… The papers are reporting that the far-right BNP is changing its constitution to allow non-white people to become members. No doubt the equality industry made it necessary for them to do so in order to try and destroy them (if they had fought the equality legislation, they would probably have ruined themselves financially and still lost).

Nick Griffin doesn’t expect gypsies, rap artists and veiled Muslim ladies queuing round the block to sign up, but says:

… several ethnic-minority supporters had been ‘begging’ to join the party because they supported its opposition to immigration.

Mr Griffin said that he is “happy to accept anyone as a member providing they agree with us that this country should remain fundamentally British.”

…until it becomes a crime to be British, I suppose.

Could it backfire on the Establishment? I believe that even two-thirds of immigrants want an end to mass-immigration. It is not a ‘race’ issue, but a reality issue. The melting pot has become too hot to handle. Decades of appeasing Islam and adopting socialism have changed our own culture so much that the country is almost unrecognisable also to the people who came here to settle years ago because it was British and relatively civilised and free. Nick Griffin says,

Plenty of ethnic minorities agree with us. People came here in the 1950s and 60s specifically because this was a British Britain.

It seems the first new member could be:

Mr Singh, a 78-year-old retired maths teacher from Wellingborough in Northamptonshire, [who] came to the UK in 1967.

He was born in West Punjab, now Pakistan, where he says his father was killed by a Muslim mob during Indian Partition in 1947.

He has expressed his admiration for the BNP’s ‘tough stance’ on Islam and believes Muslims are trying to take over Britain.

Could the BNP attract a large Sikh and Hindu following for promising to resist Islam? Could the official end of racism in the Party encourage more white people to join too? Could Harriet Hormone and Trevor Phillips live to rue the day they first heard the word ‘equality’?!

  • I’d like to think so – certainly, no-one deserves their comeuppance more than those two. But the Equality Commission still has to to look at the new policy. And that won’t happen until Tuesday.

And the diversity mavens still won’t be satisfied, in any case. Any black or Asian members of the BNP will simply be dissmissed as ‘not authentic’…

If the BNP plays it right, I think it could work for them. The Equality Commission might make things really difficult for them. So might their members?

  • The BNP being made to look like the racist fools they are isn’t much of a victory for them.

Realy Stewart, just when I thought your beliefs couldn’t become any more ridiculous you come out with 9/11 Truthing and support for the fascists within a couple of days.

    Ian,

Do tell how I am supporting fascists.

  • You’re parroting the BNP’s trite rubbish, like you’ve fallen for their trick of wearing suits and not beeing too racist whilst other people are around.

I am merely presenting the possibility that things might not work out as badly for them as some people would like. I still have no intention of voting for them personally, although if I’m going to be accused of supporting fascists anyway, maybe I will. ;-)

  • I don’t support the BNP either. I’m white but of immigrant stock. The purge would get to me eventually.

However, Ian, you underestimate them. They aren’t the knuckledragging shaven-headed neanderthals of the old National Front. There are still some Hitler-loving dopes near the top, for sure, (cough – Collett – cough) but there are also some smart people there. They know how to play the media to their advantage and they know how to play this angle too.

It’s hard to keep the ‘racist’ tag believable once a single Asian member signs up. The smart ones in the BNP know this. It won’t wash with you but how about Joe Bloggs the brickie’s mate from the council estate? He has avoided voting for them because he’s friends with Pinder from the corner shop and the BNP are racist… but now, Pinder can join up too.

Sure, the blogosphere can analyse the methodology and be cynical enough to see how the game is played, but let’s be honest here. The votes that both Labour and the BNP are after are the same votes and they aren’t exactly Mensa material for the most part. If they have internet access they are on World of Warcraft and nudie sites. They are not reading this and never will. They won’t even look for it.

You can berate and insult your opposition to your heart’s content, but underestimating the opposition is always a bad idea.
