Social engineering more important than health to the NHS?

Leg-iron has noticed that the Telegraph has discovered that the dying New Labour regime decided it was no longer necessary to send ambulances to take desperately ill people to hospital.

NHS bosses have axed rules which say victims of serious health emergencies should be sent transport which is able to take them to hospital.

Instead, trusts will be able to hit Government targets in many cases by sending out paramedics in cars – even if it means that seriously sick and injured patients are left waiting for hours before an ambulance can take them to a casualty department.

Waiting for hours seems to be a common feature of life under New Labour. Waiting for an ambulance, a hospital bed or the police to arrive.

As with any mad government, the people are just numbers – like the targets they employ highly paid managers to invent.

The headline in this week’s local paper here is Ill teenager turned away at hospital.

Because of staff shortages,

the accident and emergency has been downgraded to minor injuries when there is not enough qualified staff available.

The mother of the child who has suffered three brain haemorrhages said,

What if a child had an asthma attack or someone was hit by a car?

Well, they might end up being a statistic on a different list.

The paper adds,

As a result a worldwide recruitment drive was launched but this has so far failed to tempt new doctors to relocate to Wigtownshire.

So, while New Labour tried to meet its target of getting half of all school-leavers into further education (or whatever the ‘target’ was), they failed in their duty to ensure that enough were training to be doctors. And their mass immigration programme for social engineering purposes has failed to bring in qualified doctors who don’t mind relocating to a lovely part of Scotland and earn a six-figure salary.

However you look at it, Labour’s handling of the NHS has been diabolical. They crow about the new hospitals, but they were built with private money. They go on about the reduction in waiting times for cancer treatment, yet conveniently ignore other waiting lists that grow longer. It’s all about meeting targets and trying to look good to the electorate.

And talking of social engineering, how’s this from NHS Scotland

Diversity Task Force  – Recognising, valuing and celebrating diversity in the workforce as well as in society at large is a priority for the Scottish Government Health Directorate and NHSScotland (NHSS), the Diversity Task Force (DTF) exists to provide strategic leadership to NHSScotland Managers and to act as an enabler to facilitate the necessary culture change at every level within NHSScotland.

While ill kids and accident victims are turned away from downgraded A&E departments, ambulances are deemed surplus to requirements and thousands die from filthy hospitals, men in suits are facilitating the necessary culture change at every level within NHSScotland.

Like everything Labour has done, especially with their stated top three ‘priorities’ of health, education and the police, they have destroyed the quality of service in order to promote their warped sense of ‘equality’.

If you can’t get your child to a doctor on time to save his life, just ask to see someone from the Diversity Task Force – I’m sure you’ll get an appointment right away because it’s so important – and you can learn to value and celebrate having a child to bury.
