Everyone must be heard on the issue of same-sex ‘marriage’

Hot on the heels of the Scottish “Government’s” announcement of a consultation on ‘gay marriage’, the ConDem Government has proposed the same. This is a global phenomenon and our national and sub-national governments feel obligated to toe the line.

We used to lead the world in industry and invention, literature and exploration, but now all that our castrated politicians can think of making Britain world leaders in is unholy matrimony.

This is an illustration of what happens when a culture descends into hedonism: pleasures and comforts take over from hard work and genuine family life and child-raising. Time starts running out for that society. Already, the fertility rate of British women is below the replacement figure. We are literally becoming extinct!

The Equalities Minister, Lynne Featherstone announced at the LibDem Conference yesterday that,

…in March, this Government will begin a formal consultation on equal civil marriage for same-sex couples.

This would allow us to make any legislative changes before the end of this Parliament.

We will be working closely with all those who have an interest in the area to understand their views ahead of the formal consultation.

I replied,

I “have an interest in the area”. A very great interest. Marriage is between one man and one woman. This is the definition and always has been and no government has the legitimacy to change the meaning.

Changing the definition of ‘marriage’ will have a wide-ranging influence on the rest of society. Marriage has been getting undermined for the past few decades to the point where the majority of British children are now born out of wedlock.

This obviously has a destabilising effect on society and legitimising same-sex unions will add to the devaluing of marriage in people’s minds and increase problems in the community.

I urge you to consider the views of everyone in this country because a change of this magnitude effects everyone.

And I really do urge everyone to get involved, because this is not just a matter for homosexuals, this is a massive shift in society’s value system being proposed and will affect us all. Marriage will be further devalued and communities will become more fragmented. Your children will be subjected to homosexual propaganda at school and in the media on an unprecedented scale.

Apparently, “the Government has indicated it is committed to changing the law to allow gay marriage (sic) by 2015″ So, like the Scottish bunch, they appear to have made their decision even before the consultation process has started.

That’s “democracy” for you.

Ms Featherstone continues,

The consultation will only cover civil marriage for same sex couples – not religious marriage.

For now. As I wrote a fortnight ago, Tory MP (yes, Tory MP) Mike Weatherley has written to David Cameron and seems to be suggesting that churches that refuse to bless the union of man and man/woman and woman should forfeit the right to perform all marriages.

But like everything else, it’s salami tactics at play. Homosexuality was legalised for two people over 21 in private. Then it was 18; then 16. Civil Partnerships were introduced. And when Section 28 was done away with, we were assured that it would not lead to homosexuality being promoted to children. Now, Stonewall sends out its propaganda on DVD to every school in the country and teachers even encourage primary school children to wear frocks to ‘discover their feminine side’.

Imagine the new levels of child abuse they will be permitted to get away with if same-sex ‘marriage’ is legalised.

When societies descend into hedonism and decadence and throw morality out the window, they decline – and that’s why ‘gay marriage’ is unknown in history as far as I am aware.

Rulers and governments weren’t THAT naive in the past.

Featherbrain called 999 when her boiler started making a noise.

There should be no Minister for equality or women. They have to find Something To Do, which is inevitably cockwaffle.

If homosexuals want to marry, fine. Find a fag hag and leave me alone.

  2. Widgetas says:

“Your children will be subjected to homosexual propaganda at school and in the media on an unprecedented scale.” – And you say you’re offended at being called homophobic? Right… Ok yeah, I can see that works.

“Imagine the new levels of child abuse they will be permitted to get away with if same-sex ‘marriage’ is legalised.” – Oh dear… Go on then, give us the peer reviewed statistics from Psychology journals that back up the implied claim that homosexuals are more likely to abuse children than heterosexuals.

No, really. I’ll wait. Because *surely* you have a decent source for such a claim?

  3. Subrosa says:

I too am in despair of marriage being reinterpreted Stewart. As far as I’m aware those of the same sex who wish to have the same legal protections as heterosexual married couples achieved that with civil marriages.

What’s happening in this country? Are all our traditions going to be wiped out before I leave this planet?

  4. Susan Morals says:

I’ve got to ask – why do you care who gets married? You do know that you don’t have to marry someone of the same sex if this laws passes, right? Its not compulsory to have a same sex marriage, it just gives the opportunity for two people who love each other and want to declare that love in front of friends and family to do so in a way that the government recognises. You know, the way that two people can at the moment.

  5. Stewart Cowan says:

    Twenty_Rothmans,

Ha ha! Did she? Maybe they were ‘homophobic’ noises!

Strong stuff here and right to the point!

Same-sex marriage has to be a distinct marker for a civilisation that’s quickly going down the drian of deviancy and death.

  7. Stewart Cowan says:

    Widgetas,

Since when did stating the obvious entitle one to be called names? That’s what I have done: stated the obvious. The longer this agenda has been going on, the more intense the propaganda has become. Even Coronation Street actors are complaining.

  8. Stewart Cowan says:

    Subrosa,

The Civil Partnerships (not that I agreed with them either) were supposed to solve the legal issues for homosexual partners. Of course, that wasn’t enough for some. The early militants knew they had to destroy the moral order to have their lifestyles fully ‘accepted’ by the rest of society.

Our traditions and values are being erased for a reason and I believe it is to wreck this country. I think if this gets passed into law, we’re finished. I am disturbed by the number of people who think that two men or two women can actually get ‘married’.

  9. Stewart Cowan says:

    Susan Morals,

I’ve got to ask – why do you care who gets married?

I don’t mean to be rude, but did you read what I wrote?

  10. Stewart Cowan says:

    Vee,

I think it has to be strong to be to the point. We’ve gone so far down this road that stating the obvious may appear to be a bit OTT. I think because people have tended to just put up with all this nonsense. I think they have this one last chance to save their culture or die with it.

  11. Vee says:

All the evidence indicates that cultural Marxism and political correctness has reached the point of critical mass.

    It is already too late!

“The world may currently be convulsed by escalating cataclysms, but for British politicians the order of the day is navel gazing as usual.

The EU is about to implode, the UK economy is going under, urban youth in British cities have just burned down their neighbourhoods and the Arab world is in ferment.

And so what are the big talking points of the day in Britain? Gay marriage, bashing the rich and (a few days ago) cutting the length of the school holidays.”

  14. isitfoggy says:

    Stewart,

Can you clarify what you mean by

“Imagine the new levels of child abuse they will be permitted to get away with if same-sex ‘marriage’ is legalised.”

Some of us are reading this as same sex couples abuse children more than mixed sex couples. Do you really mean this?

I think you’re getting your knickers in a twist about nothing. There aren’t actually that many people signing up for civil partnerships and I can’t see that there will be many marriages either.

Same sex couples can’t reproduce so in theory they will all die out? Let them be whilst they can. Unless it’s in the genes created from mother and father – then you (not me) have a problem.

  15. Stewart Cowan says:

Vee – a lot of folk seem to think I am a pessimist, but I’m actually an optimist, although I have to admit that I think it is too late now, so I guess that makes me a realist. I have to decide if I am going to stay in a country where there is a growing number of people who have been trained to despise my way of life, traditions and beliefs (which more than likely closely resemble those of their parents and grandparents).

  16. Stewart Cowan says:

    Thinker,

I forgot about that one. It shows to what extent some people will go to destroy decent society through perverting young children.

  17. Thinker says:

the human rights act says it all if read properly, and with same sex marriages, being forced upon society, especially churches that do not believe in such marriages the right to
their moral beliefs and religious teaching are trashed, by those wanting to force their ideas on all of society.
all children have rights as well, and should not be forced to live with same sex couples if they do not want. Babies should not be placed with same sex couples either as they have not been taught the true way of life male and female: mother and father.
In a nutshell it is people who want things their own way and their own selfish agendas are at work here, the only reason the government wants to put this through, is to ensure the gay vote to help keep them in power.
I Have posted part of the human rights act below
    1) Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief, in worship, teaching, practice and observance.

    (2) Freedom to manifest one’s religion or beliefs shall be subject only to such limitations as are prescribed by law and are necessary in a democratic society in the interests of public safety, for the protection of public order, health or morals, or for the protection of the rights and freedoms of others.

  18. Stewart Cowan says:

    Foggy,

I wasn’t referring to physical sexual abuse in this case, but the sort of thing Thinker linked to – bringing the propaganda into maths and science lessons.

And if homosexuality was ‘in the genes’ it would surely have died out long ago! It’s a sin and will always be on a fallen earth. Some will repent and some will not.

  19. Stewart Cowan says:

    Thinker,

I exposed the ECHR for the fraud it is in another post – http://www.realstreet.co.uk/2010/11/human-rights-what-do-they-mean/

  20. Thinker says:

    have read it Stewart thanks

  21. Thinker says:

now thats what I call truth being spoken Richard

  22. Yes. This is a very serious matter indeed. The truth must be spoken out loudly and boldly. Make no mistake, as I’ve said on my blog and as Stewart has here on his, if Holyrood and Westminster succeed in perverting marriage then the consequences for the British people will be devastating.

I have a pretty good knowledge of British history (including that which is within the living memory). Just 100 years ago we were a great empire and the world super power: we led the world in everything. Now we are Broken Britain: a byword for shame and a global laughing stock (such as giving padded bras to prisoners). I was born in 1976 and I grew up in an England in which homopervual behaviour and culture was taboo – and rightly so. It is so sad and sickening to witness the ongoing destruction of my country with ever more evil madness like this proposed invention of perviage.

I fear Stewart could be right… Perviage could be the final nail in the coffin of British society.

  23. Thinker says:

we need people of the Smith Wigglesworth calibre

  24. Isitfoggy says:

Stewart, thank you for the clarification. One other question – do you have children? (I have three)

  25. Do you have a real name?

Grow up. Stewart does not need to have ten kids of his own to validate the views he advocates.

Marriage (and the marriage-based family) affects everybody in our society, whether married or not, and whether a parent or not.

Are you married? Are all your children conceived with the same man/woman? As an anonymous person what basis do you have for prying into Stewart’s life?

  26. Stewart Cowan says:

Mr Souter’s private poll in Scotland a decade ago, in which I voted, produced the result of 7 to 1 in favour of retaining Section 28. That was ignored and so will any opposition to ‘gay marriage’ because the decision has already been made and politicians will not put the brakes on the juggernaut of social destruction.

Have they sold their souls or are they just really dumb? Do they ignore their own consciences and disregard their own concerns, or do they no longer have a conscience and are votes more important to them than the success of their country?

  27. isitfoggy says:

I’m terribly sorry Richard. I didn’t realise you were Stewart’s official spokespervert.

I’ll tell you for the second time – you know who I am. But who is Thinker? Who is Vee?

It was a simple question to Stewart, not you, and if he doesn’t want to answer I’m sure he can tell me himself.

Being a parent changes your outlook on life. This is something that you cannot currently understand.

I suspect you’ve seen my latest blog post http://isitfoggy.wordpress.com/2011/09/20/a-well-funded-carvath/ and this has upset you. I thought you liked a bit of satire?

  28. If you’ve got a real name that you’re not ashamed of then why not share it here?

Grown up people like Stewart and I just post under our real names.

Your comment that a non-parent cannot possess any insight into parenthood just goes to show what an idiot you are.

I very much doubt you will ever post anything to cause me concern. I appreciate good quality satire; I’m not aware that you’ve produced any to date. The only thing your blog achieves is to help promote me – the opposite of what you intend.

  29. isitfoggy says:

    Richard,

Ask any parent if actually being a parent is anything like they thought it would be and how it has changed them. You have no idea.

I very much doubt you will ever get elected so we are both happy.

  30. Patronising cliche.

I think what’d make you happy would be a ‘close encounter’ with Carvath. I’ve become a fantasy and a fetish in your mind… why else would you devote a whole blog to me?

A lot of bolshy feminists actually get off on arguing with me. It’s one way some women go about flirting. What you really want is to go to bed with me. I can see that.

Well, I’m not going to become another notch in your bedpost dear, so dream on.

  31. Isitfoggy says:

It may be a cliche but it’s true.

So it’s back to the fantasies again is it?

What you need Richard is to find yourself a good woman (or man because I’m still not sure what your orientation is) and have a good nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

Then perhaps you will stop fantasising about me. A 6 foot 3 fella.

  32. Clearly what you need is for me to give you some parenting advice…

A responsible mother should be investing her time on raising her children – not wasting her time in flirting with men on the internet.

As a human being, I’m heterosexual, because human beings are heterosexual by nature. The fact of your stated curiosity regarding my sex life rather tends to confirm my earlier assertion as to your depraved fetishistic inclination.

Do you not see how incredibly stupid it is to be writing a blog against somebody you claim has no prospect of success? Especially when you have three children to raise?

How do you expect anybody to take you seriously when you hide in anonymity? It’s not even as though your efforts to attack me on the internet are of any consequence, coming as they do from ‘Isitfoggy.’

It seems you’re both stupid and depraved. Pity the kids.

  33. Isitfoggy says:

Richard, Richard, Richard! Listen for 1 second. You know who I am.

But today I’m an idiot, stupid, depraved and poor mother (which is fantastic seeing as I am a FATHER.)

I’ll say it again – you’re the gift that keeps on giving. Thank you.

  34. Why play silly games? It would be good if you voluntarily revealed your identity for the benefit of everybody (and for the sake of your own credibility).

If I was so minded I could investigate you in great detail but I have no interest in you. Your fascination with me is not reciprocated.

You aren’t going to affect who votes for me in any way. Do not delude yourself that you are doing anything other than wasting your own time – but if you want to persist in your obsession then that’s your folly.

If you are implying that I am one and the same as the utter mentalist Carvath, I suggest you re-think, then retract,

Stewie will confirm that I am most certainly not Carvath, and I’d prefer it if you didn’t liken me to self-obsessed, porn-addicted, small-minded narcissists that use the web to stalk young, blonde, attractive women, in order to save them.

Really you’ve made a mistake. I’ll let it slide this time – next time will not be pretty.

  43. English Viking says:

    Thinker,

    OK, No probs.

    Darth,

I am rampantly ‘homophobic’, but Carvath is beyond the pale. Even I cannot stomach the hate he spews about pooftahs, I have tried to stop communicating with him (he helped by banning me from his site, then lying about it) because I genuinely think his is insane, clinically mad, and do not want to contribute to his demise. It would not surprise me one bit if he tops himself, or provokes someone else to top him in his ludicrous attempts at portraying himself as a martyr for Christ.

Radio rental, as my old man used to say.

PS My son saw a screenshot of him the other day, not knowing who he was (does anybody?) and asked me why ‘the man on the telly had been pulling tufts of his own hair out?’

Even a kid can see he’s a nutter.

  44. Stewart Cowan says:

This has gone far enough. This site was never intended to be an attack Richard Carvath blog. I want everyone to stick to the subject please or I will have to start moderating all comments.

    Thank you for your cooperation.
