Sometimes, Alex Jones and his guests set out the globalists’ agenda so clearly, it is awesome. Here he is, talking to our own Paul Joseph Watson about the armed troops who burned down homes and killed children in Uganda to evict them in the name of climate change.

This full spectrum analysis includes the topics of mainstream media silence, climate change and humanitarian scams, neo-colonialism under the guise of protecting against climate change, land grabs, and UN and Big Pharma eugenicists working towards population reduction as part of a global regime. Watson writes,

Armed troops acting on behalf of a British carbon trading company backed by the World Bank burned houses to the ground and killed children to evict Ugandans from their homes in the name of seizing land to protect against “global warming,” a shocking illustration of how the climate change con is a barbarian form of neo-colonialism.

The evictions were ordered by New Forests Company, an outfit that seizes land in Africa to grow trees then sells the “carbon credits” on to transnational corporations. The company is backed by the World Bank and HSBC. Its Board of Directors includes HSBC Managing Director Sajjad Sabur, as well as other former Goldman Sachs investment bankers.

The company claims residents of Kicucula left in a “peaceful” and “voluntary” manner, and yet the people tell a story of terror and bloodshed.

Villagers told of how armed “security forces” stormed their village and torched houses, burning an eight-year-child to death as they threatened to murder anyone who resisted while beating others.

“We were in church,” recalled Jean-Marie Tushabe, 26, a father of two. “I heard bullets being shot into the air.”

“Cars were coming with police,” Mr. Tushabe said, sitting among the ruins of his old home. “They headed straight to the houses. They took our plates, cups, mattresses, bed, pillows. Then we saw them getting a matchbox out of their pockets.”

“But in this case, the government and the company said the settlers were illegal and evicted for a good cause: to protect the environment and help fight global warming,” reports the New York Times.

An Oxfam report documents how the British outfit has worked with the Ugandan government to forcibly expel over 20,000 people from their homes using terror and violence as part of a lucrative scramble for arable land that can be used to satisfy the multi-billion dollar carbon trading ponzi scheme, which is worth $1.8 million a year to the company.

“I no longer own any land. It’s impossible to feed my children – they have suffered so much. Some days all they eat is porridge from maize flour. When people can’t eat well their bodies become weak – there have been lots of cases of malaria and diarrhoea. Some days we don’t eat anything at all,” said former farmer Francis Longoli, whose land was stolen by New Forests.

As we have previously documented, the manufactured threat of man-made global warming is being used as a tool of neo-colonialism in the third world, not only through the seizure of land and infrastructure, thereby preventing poor nations from using their resources to develop, but by literally starving poverty-stricken people to death.

Climate change alarmism and implementation of global warming policies is a crime of the highest nature, because it is already having a genocidal impact in countries like Haiti, where the doubling of food prices is resulting in a substantial increase in starvation, poverty and death, with the population being forced to live on mud pies.

Read the rest of Watson’s article here.

Leg-iron likes to test how dumb some people are by telling them some ridiculous thing that he has made up and seeing if they believe him. Apparently, a lot of folk fall for his insistence that Roman roads were built straight because they hadn’t invented steering back then.

I just had a look at Leggy’s blog after writing that first paragraph and saw that he has written about some of the things I was about to write about. My dilemma now is whether to suggest you just read his post, try to write my own without copying bits from his, or forgetting it altogether and sticking on one of my classic comedy DVDs and relaxing.

What to do? What to do?

Actually, some of these latest news stories are crazier than the things that happen in Fawlty Towers, George and Mildred and even Red Dwarf.

The other day, I finished watching all 112 episodes of Tales of the Unexpected. You may be wondering what heinous crime I committed to warrant such a cruel and unusual punishment. A few were excellent and some were woeful and the rest somewhere in between.

But not much is unexpected nowadays, so when the Liverpool Daily Post announces that,

A-Level results went up for the 29th consecutive year

It isn’t unexpected, because it has been obvious for years that it’s a stitch up,

…the number of A-level students getting top marks nearly doubled between 1997 and 2010.

The reasons for this are numerous – A-level papers have got easier, examination boards are more lax, teachers are better at teaching to the test – but few people believe it’s because our children have actually become more intelligent. If you compare the performance of 15-year-old British schoolchildren to their counterparts in other developed countries when it comes to reading, science and maths, they’ve got worse, not better.

Why does the government want to make youngsters believe that they are more intelligent than they are? It is right to encourage children and to praise them, but not to lie to them. Not to give them false hopes that they can go to university and get a degree and become a brilliant whatever it is they want do be, when the reality is that if they aren’t up to it they will end up deep in debt and unable to get a job that earns enough to pay it back. They will have wasted years of their lives when, if the system was run honestly, they could have learned a useful trade instead or been otherwise employed.

My feeling is that this whole charade has been devised to produce a shortage of workers as an excuse to increase migration and also to get as many people as possible into debt to prepare them for a lifetime of servitude to the ’system’ perhaps eventually to try and make them more compliant to being ‘chipped’ at some stage in order to keep getting credit and able to buy the necessities.

Whatever the ulterior motives, sending half of school leavers to further education – after they have already received twelve or thirteen years of education (allegedly) – seems no way to ensure we have a productive economy.

But we know that the economy doesn’t matter to the elite, because another thing they expect us to believe in is the manmade climate change fraud, which is just another way to de-industrialise us while squeezing out yet more money from us in “green” taxes.

So even more old folk will die of the cold in winter with increased electric and gas bills, but like the thousands of teenagers whose lives are blighted unnecessarily by debt, most politicians will turn a blind eye to it all.

And talking of climate change, the climate surrealists are now so desperate to sell their wares to an increasingly savvy public, that they have been coming out with even more hot air than Al Gore in his fantasy ‘documentary’ An Inconvenient Truth.

This was the film that was sent to every secondary school in Britain and which so upset Stewart Dimmock, a school governor from Dover, that he took the Government to court for brainwashing children with it – and won. I bet the BBC hated having to cover that story, because as the government’s propaganda arm, it has to perpetuate all sorts of myths.

One of Gore’s fraudulent claims in the film was the idea that:

for the first time, polar bears had actually drowned “swimming long distances – up to 60 miles – to find the ice”. The judge said: “The only scientific study that either side before me can find is one which indicates that four polar bears have recently been found drowned because of a storm.”

But despite no evidence at all, how many people still believe that polar bears are drowning for lack of ice?

Now we are expected to believe that overweight people are responsible for climate change.

But first prize in the things they expect us to believe category must go to NASA, who are suggesting that aliens might destroy the earth – not because, as Leg-iron suggests: “Perhaps the scientists are worried that aliens will see fat people from space” – but because our carbon emissions could be considered a risk to their civilisations.

Even though carbon dioxide levels were much higher in Earth’s past and even though any alien civilisation on some far-flung planet would not be affected in the slightest by our use of incandescent filament light bulbs, we are to be afraid of angry monsters from outer space.

Some people believe that governments will announce a fake alien landing in order to panic the public, thus allowing them to bring in martial law on a global scale. I wrote about the possibility of this last year, after another extraterrestrial claim by NASA which was nothing of the sort, but nevertheless, still helps keep the possibility of ‘alien’ life alive in people’s minds.

But to believe there are all sorts of aliens out there is to believe in something else quite unbelievable: The Theory of Evolution. Consider what I wrote at the time:

People need a paradigm shift here. I speak as a Creationist, of course, but I believe there are dangerous misunderstandings which surround evolution. I don’t think “life” can occur as readily as many people have been led to believe.

There is a Law of Biogenesis which states that, “life arises from pre-existing life, not from non-living material”.

To believe contrary to Louis Pasteur’s Law is hardly a new idea, “The ancient Greeks believed that living things could spontaneously come into being from nonliving matter, and that the goddess Gaia could make life arise spontaneously from stones…”

This is especially interesting as we are again living in an age where Gaia worship is widely practised, this time in the form of devout environmentalism.

But I suspect that NASA will keep putting out “alien” stories, especially in times where money is tight, to keep the government funding coming through.

And it is vital to keep up the pretence if a government ever stages an “alien” invasion as a pretext to removing the remaining freedoms even the bin Laden fearmongering couldn’t reach.

And this brings me nicely onto my final topic, the attacks of 9/11 (Osama bin Laden was not considered a suspect by the FBI).

It amazes me how many people can watch the collapse of World Trade Centre Building 7 and think buildings fall this way due to fire. WTC7 was not hit by a plane yet came down on the afternoon of 11th September 2001 like a controlled demolition in near freefall speed onto its own footprint. I know people are in denial when they will not even admit that it looks peculiar. The only time they will ever have seen a building collapse like WTC7 will have been a controlled demolition using carefully pre-planted explosives. But to admit government involvement to themselves would be to acknowledge that the world is a scarier and more unpredictable place than they thought it was; than they want it to be.

But what is really scary are the consequences of not facing the truth. The consequences are exactly as we are seeing actually happening to us: climate change used against us to tax us even further and shut down our industry; a country and its people steeped in debt; unjust laws and restrictions put on us to fight the “War on Terror” – and a global government to oversee all these things.

It is best to face the truth sooner rather than later.

The European Union seems determined to take the continent back to the Dark Ages – literally – as the ban on the manufacture of 60 watt incandescent light bulbs comes into force at the end of the month. A couple of years ago the 100W bulbs were removed from the shelves, now the 60W and then it will be the 40W bulbs. It’s the same old story – salami slice tactics of control.

And here’s the extra surprise – those energy-saving bulbs that used to cost next to nothing have been going up and up in price and this is set to continue:

The sales director of Sylvania, one of Europe’s largest bulb-makers, told his customers that China’s near-monopoly over the key raw materials lay behind the increase.

So we are being held to ransom both by the European Union and the Chinese.

In 2008 I wrote a post entitled, EU to ban traditional light bulbs, but at what cost to health and the environment?

We are being forced to adopt these light bulbs which contain hazardous materials and cause discomfort to people with various conditions. Although, they aren’t forcing me, because I have a stockpile and will be buying more. People are still selling them on ebay. I bought some 100W bulbs in a local shop a few weeks ago.

Resistance is not futile.

Up yours, EU!

Thursday’s Alex Jones broadcast was amazing. There was so much vital information crammed in. Subrosa has blogged about the Piers Corbyn interview and she asks why people like him, who are far more accurate at predicting the weather than the Met Office, are not consulted more often by the BBC.

“Sobers” left this comment,

Am I not right in thinking that the BBC pension fund has investments in green technologies that would lose money if AGW were to be discredited?

They’re hardly going to push the claims of people who, if correct, would reduce the value of their pensions now are they?

I’m sure the main reason is that the State Broadcaster issues state propaganda, which nowadays heavily involves trying to make us believe in the CO2 scam. You can make your own mind up on the pensions. Here is the list of BBC Pensions’ top equity investments. Interestingly (or not?) two of the top six corporations, Royal Dutch Shell and Vodaphone, are “partners” (the new word for companies who give their customers’ money away to improve the public’s perception of them regarding the latest must-be-involved-in “causes”) in Forum for the Future.

Which brings me nicely to another topic on Alex’s show: Forum for the Future’s scenarios for sustainable living in the year 2040. You can watch the four videos here, but they paint similar pictures of a purportedly sustainable society, only made possible by tightly controlling and impoverishing the population. This one seems to have captured nearly all the attention: Planned-opolis…

This video was made with taxpayers’ money as well as corporate funding – one of the foundation corporate partners being Vodaphone. I wonder what it is about a future dystopia which so attracts telecommunications corporations. Those brave eco-warriors at 10:10 get O2’s money. Their other three major sponsors, Eaga, Kyocera and Sony, have all distanced themselves from the group after their “No Pressure” Splatter-gate video nasty was released in the Autumn.

O2 are still keen. Maybe because when our cities become prison grids, we’ll need to use their services more, as the videos suggest. For example, when only the rich have cars and there is little or no public transport, we’ll be meeting virtually and schoolchildren will stay at home and be taught via the internet.

It would be easy to brush this animation off as just a scenario and not to be taken too seriously, but as I wrote about a few weeks ago when highlighting the Optimum Population Trust’s campaign for a huge reduction in the UK’s population, Forum for the Future offers students the chance to turn their environmental dreams into our common nightmare,

Since 1996 our Masters in Leadership for Sustainable Development has been training the sustainability leaders of the future. Last year we celebrated the graduation of our 165th student, and many graduates are already making their mark as think-tank directors and government advisers.

Anyone who has studied the area of think-tanks and government advisory bodies soon realises that these tiny cabals making their plans in private have far more sway over government policy than public opinion and even backbench MPs’ wishes.

Different colour, same idea

Paul Joseph Watson writes about the coming tyranny.

People who resist the state controlling every aspect of their existence will be forced to live in squalid ghettos while the rest of the population will be tightly controlled in high-tech prison cities – that’s the future envisaged by eco-fascists who are exploiting the contrived global warming fraud to openly flaunt their plan for the total enslavement of mankind.

The threat posed by the kind of scenario being promoted by Forum for the Future, the group responsible for the chilling video below, cannot be emphasized enough. The dictatorial hellhole of 2040, where cars will be banned, meat rationed, farming completely abolished and overtaken by the state, behavior catalogued on “calorie cards,” and careers ordained by the government, is the ultimate goal of the control freaks who have seized the reigns of the environmental movement.

Nearly every aspect of the policies undertaken by the global dictatorship that runs the “planned-opolis” depicted in the video are lifted wholesale from historical tyrannies.

- The state completely taking over the means of food production and farming. This is a throwback to the Soviet system of collectivized farming, where Stalin organized land and labor into large-scale collective farms. Farmers who resisted the state taking over their farms were arrested and sent to Siberian gulags. As a result of the mass seizure of property and the disruption that collective farming brought to food production, upwards of 3 million people died from starvation from 1932-33 alone. A similar system imposed in Maoist China under the “Great Leap Forward” led to the Great Chinese Famine and the starvation of at least 36 million people.

You can read the rest here.

It is all about our enslavement: thousands of new laws; the climate change scam; the gun ban; the smoking ban; the dumbing down; the promotion of promiscuity; political correctness.

Like those videos show, though, the elite will be exempt from the trouble of being impoverished and imprisoned in cities. Al Gore has done very well out of the climate scam. Very well indeed.

In Planned-opolis, you can have meat on your birthday, if you can afford it, otherwise “pea and potato pie” is about the best you can hope for.

Unless you’re Al Gore.

But I don’t intend to live in Planned-opolis either, even if I am still around.

I am weighing up my options. How do you intend to avoid it (and the only alternative offered: the ghetto)?

In the first video I posted here about the neo-eugenics war on humanity, Alan Watt warns us about the Optimum Population Trust (OPT) who are demanding governments radically reduce the population. (Starts 4:20 in.)

Two MSPs have given these well known “ecofascists” their time and attention – and a conference in the Scottish Parliament. Unsurprisingly, Greenie Patrick Harvie is one. The other is the SNP’s Dr Ian McKee.

One campaigns for homosexual and environmental issues and the other is a retired medical doctor and Deputy Convener of the End of Life Assistance (Scotland) Bill Committee.

They both think a lot of people need to be wiped off the earth.

That’s what I love about “democracy” – you have the chance to vote for such lovely, lovely people.

The radical group is urging First Minister Alex Salmond to launch a Government campaign to curb family size, using the slogan “two’s plenty”.

OPT is calling for Scotland’s population to be cut by a quarter.

Dr McKee, whose wife organised the Holyrood conference, insisted: “The world has finite resources and we can’t go on growing at the current rate. This is a taboo subject for politicians but I think it is something the Scottish Parliament should be discussing.”

I guess getting rid of people to satisfy Gaia is still kind of taboo, but the media and state “education” have made so many other taboos appear normal, like abortion, homosexual acts and increasingly, Dr McKee’s area of interest, bumping off old and sick people, that it’s probably just a matter of time before sacrificing live infants to appease the gods of nature is once again seen as acceptable.

[Dr McKee] added: “I think the Government could encourage families to have less children.

“There is a lot of societal pressure to have children. I think it seems very sensible to put forward the case that people should consider carefully limiting the size of their family.”

Either the man is stupid or, em, no, he is stupid. The fact is that Europeans and North Americans aren’t even having enough children to sustain the population. “Family Planning” has, for decades now, been extremely successful in convincing the public that they only need two children. Feminism has convinced millions of women that they should be separated from their one or two children at an early age to go out to work.

That part of the agenda has already been carried out: mission accomplished for the eugenicists.

[T]he OPT believes Scotland and Britain must do their part to stabilise the world’s population, which could rise to more than nine billion within 40 years. They want the UK population to fall to as low as 30 million, with Scotland playing its part in the reduction.

Can you imagine what needs to happen to achieve this? And these people have been allowed to hold a conference in Parliament.

On immigration, the OPT believes there should be a zero cap on net immigration, meaning numbers would be strictly limited to replace those leaving the country to live elsewhere.

In order to halve the UK population with no net migration, a strict one child policy over decades would be required, like in China. Here too would be a land of forced abortions and sterilisations.

Look who some of the patrons of the Optimum Population Trust are…

Sir David Attenborough OM CH CVO CBE – the naturalist we grew up to love and trust.

Dr Jane Goodall DBE, Founder of the Jane Goodall Institute, and UN Messenger of Peace. (Yes, eugenics is peace!)

Susan Hampshire OBE (remember her?), Actress and population campaigner.

Professor Aubrey Manning OBE, President of the Wildlife Trusts and Emeritus Professor of Natural History, University of Edinburgh – another naturalist who would rather cuddle a dung beetle than a human.

Jonathon Porritt CBE – of course. Another friendly face who would rather you were dead and buried. Or is cremation more environmentally-friendly (if you extract the mercury fillings first, obviously)?

Sir Crispin Tickell GCMG KCVO, Chancellor of Kent University, Director of the Policy Foresight Programme at the James Martin Institute, and former UK Permanent Representative on the United Nations Security Council.

After I posted those Alan Watt videos on eugenics, Frank Davis pondered upon the likelihood of major world events being predetermined by a global elite, and largely decided against it.

If you look at those involved with the OPT, you can get a glimpse into how things work. Alan Watt explained that he had come to the conclusion that there had to be an elite leading the world because “the big players” like Henry Kissinger, the Huxleys and Lord Bertrand Russell belonged to the same institutions and history had panned out according to what they had called for in their writings.

This little OPT humanity-hating cabal consists of everyone they need to change the UK’s attitudes and laws. They have the nation’s most recognisable authority on the earth – a broadcaster who receives almost unrivalled respect. They have two UN representatives, and of course the UN supports China’s one-child policy. They have scientists and professors who can talk up the agenda to their naive university students and their equally naive colleagues. They will write for major newspapers about why we need a one-child policy to save the earth.

And notice how the majority of patrons have been “honoured” with British Empire medals. One of these is Sara Parkin OBE, who is “Founder Director and Trustee of Forum for the Future, Chair of the Richard Sandbrook Trust, Board member of the European Training Foundation“.

The ETF is the EU agency which supports education and training in countries surrounding the EU. Eugenics is a global agenda, not just for us lucky ones in the EU.

Forum for the Future is also concerned with “global challenges” like climate change and population growth. Look how they are getting their agenda across,

Since 1996 our Masters in Leadership for Sustainable Development has been training the sustainability leaders of the future. Last year we celebrated the graduation of our 165th student, and many graduates are already making their mark as think-tank directors and government advisers.

Scared enough yet? This is how they do it. They use the mass media; they train the young to be “leaders”; they are involved with their fellow eugenicists at the UN.

That Scotsman article ends with this,

A recent paper by the OPT claimed that if couples had two children instead of three they could cut their family’s carbon dioxide output by the equivalent of 620 return flights a year between London and New York.

That’s what children are to these monsters: a waste of air. Useless eaters. Parasites.

But they are the parasites, attaching themselves to every broadcaster, school, government department, and everywhere else they can, to promote their sickness and kill off sane and measured debate.

This is why it doesn’t matter which main party you vote for – the politicians aren’t in charge.

This is how the world’s elites view humanity – as a virus; a cancer spreading across the planet and killing it. I believe the main purpose of the environment movement is to sear images like these into people’s minds so that they will either willingly accept, or more likely, be forced to go along with a managed reduction in population: eugenics.

Prince Philip wrote in the foreword to If I Were an Animal (1986),

In the event that I am reincarnated, I would like to return as a deadly virus, in order to contribute something to solve overpopulation.

And in the preface to his book Down to Earth (1988),

I don’t claim to have any special interest in natural history, but as a boy I was made aware of the annual fluctuations in the number of game animals and the need to adjust the “cull” to the size of the surplus population.

With this in mind, it makes his eldest son’s latest notion sound very sinister indeed, as Cranmer writes,

Prince Charles has disclosed not only that he wishes to be known as King George VII when he accedes to the Throne, but also that he wants to be Defender of Nature.

Defender of Nature? The worry is: how much do his beliefs match his dad’s?

This is why I was especially incensed at 10:10’s bloodthirsty ‘promotional’ video released the week before last. They really seemed to believe as Prince Philip does and also appeared to revel in the bloody murder of those who won’t go along with them.

It seems that the only difference between the Nazis and the Ecofascists is the targets to be eliminated.

The mysterious Georgia Guidestones suggest the world’s population should be limited to half a billion people. These elite atheist globalist “Ten Commandments” are as follows. (Some of these should already be familiar as the groundwork was begun a long time ago),

1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
2. Guide reproduction wisely – improving fitness and diversity.
3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
4. Rule passion – faith – tradition – and all things with tempered reason.
5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
9. Prize truth – beauty – love – seeking harmony with the infinite.
10. Be not a cancer on the earth – Leave room for nature – Leave room for nature.

Whoever was responsible for these words clearly thought that at least nine out of ten people must be eliminated.

Notice how much prominence that second “commandment” has in western society today: Guide reproduction wisely.

We know that eugenicists were involved in the early stages of what they called family planning – there’s a eugenicist-sounding term just there, but who considers it to be so? It has been made to appear totally acceptable, even wholesome.

As I have written about before, Marie Stopes, “pioneer” of Britain’s abortion clinics, used to send her poetry to Adolf Hitler in adoration, while calling for the compulsory sterilisation of the diseased, drunkards, or simply those of bad character.

While that hasn’t quite happened yet, family planning is considered normal and many people believe that killing unborn humans is acceptable, even a “woman’s right”. This particular cull deprives many millions a year of their part in history. Their one chance gone forever due to the creeping influence of the eugenics movement and the acceptance of their beliefs via environmentalism and a completely warped notion of human rights.

Next stop: a euthanasia industry to match the effectiveness of the abortion factories?

This should easily be achieved in this age of family breakdowns and the seemingly increasing disrespect for the elderly. Old folk will be told it is their right to be terminated in cases of illness, even a spot of depression or a harelip. They will be encouraged to feel they are a burden to the rest of society and the environment and eventually they’ll be volunteering to jump off cliffs (or ride their wheelchairs over). There will be posters in doctors’ surgeries alongside the family planning ones.

Who knows? Euthanasia may even be incorporated into family planning. For example, if you want four children, you should plan to have all the grandparents killed off by the time the fourth child arrives. It could be promoted as a double celebration: a new life comes into the world and an old timer gives his life for the planet so as to maintain humanity in perpetual balance with nature.

You could live with that, couldn’t you? Ask yourself how many of their lies you have bought up until now.

O2 have still not cut their ties with eco-crazies 10:10. They are now the only corporate sponsor who still wish to be associated with the group and its video showing children who refuse to comply with their agenda being blown up by their teacher.

I received an email from Sony yesterday which ended, ...we have taken the decision to disassociate ourselves from 10:10 at this time. This just leaves O2 to reply to me. There has been a brief discussion on the O2 forum, starting off with this from “alun1954,”

I am appauled at o2’s involvement in the 10:10 campaign’s mini movie entitled ‘No Pressure’. This movie is scurrulous and pupports anyone with a view contrary to that of certain environmentalists as a lazy, shiftless and surly thicko guilty of heresy against what has become a religious orthodoxy.

I happen to be an individual who rationally and calmly questions both the science underlying so called ‘Catastrophic Climate Change’ and the remedies proposed by those who support it. I fear that billions of our hard earned tax money will be squandered on initiatives which will not only be costly, but will be of no positive impact whatsoever. As a loyal o2 customer, am I to take it, by o2’s support of this film, that your view of me and others like me is as represented in the video?

Well, that being the implication of your support of this propaganda, I would respond by telling you that I am grossly insulted and will be looking for another provider at my next contract renewal point.

According to “sheepdog,” the moderators previously deleted a similar topic. It’s all right for phone companies to constantly hassle us with sales calls, but our opinions on things that matter to us don’t seem to matter to them.

Someone called markle speaks for the planet (or thinks he does) by writing,

Not one credible scientific body of international standing has a position that categorically states that climate change is not caused by human actions.

Strange that this has just happened,

Britain’s leading scientific institution has been forced to rewrite its guide to climate change and admit that there is greater uncertainty about future temperature increases than it had previously suggested.

The Royal Society is publishing a new document today after a rebellion by more than 40 of its fellows who questioned mankind’s contribution to rising temperatures.

Site administrator Paul wrote,

I’d like to clarify O2’s involvement with 10:10.

Good, because nobody’s replying to my email.

Along with 100,000 members of the public, leading businesses, schools and universities, local authorities and NHS Trusts, we support the aims of the 10:10 campaign but they are an independent organisation – we don’t ask to see their adverts before they run and were not involved in the making of the ‘No Pressure’ video.

We acknowledge our responsibility to the environment and are committed to reducing our carbon emissions both as an organisation and in society as a whole.

Hope this helps.

Er, no. This translates as “we’re continuing to support these fascists because CO2 is bad and the video’s not our fault and we crave the publicity of being seen to be serious about the environment whether we’re doing any good or not.”

Vidl does the right thing to my mind,

I, for one, along with friends and colleagues who are disgusted with this “if you don’t believe us you will die” facism, have/are cancelling O2 contracts (my new SIM arrived this am). I will not support O2 whilst O2 “sponsors” 10:10.

F Fitzpatrick wrote yesterday at 3:43 pm,

Sounds good. They have until 3:43pm on Friday to avoid being the latest on my boycott list. Their delay already sees them on the “best avoided if possible” list. He continues,

I would advise others thinking of moving their business away from O2 to research TESCO mobile as I believe their service is also operated by O2.

If so – and if sense does not prevail – I will be boycotting TESCO supermarkets too.

Tesco’s have been on my boycott list since 2005 for several reasons.

Your time is short before you join them, O2. As “Pinus” says,

Because people will think you approve of radical groups making videos showing human beings being culled.

I guess if it was seals, they would have acted immediately to protect their brand image.

The video was swiftly removed from the 10:10 website after complaints, but multiple copies are available elsewhere online. The pressure group issued a half-hearted apology which included this:

With climate change becoming increasingly threatening, and decreasingly talked about in the media, we wanted to find a way to bring this critical issue back into the headlines whilst making people laugh. We were therefore delighted when Britain’s leading comedy writer, Richard Curtis – writer of Blackadder, Four Weddings, Notting Hill and many others – agreed to write a short film for the 10:10 campaign. Many people found the resulting film extremely funny, but unfortunately some didn’t and we sincerely apologise to anybody we have offended.

I find a bit of black humour as funny as the next man, but not when it has come from people who consider humanity to be problematic. Then it becomes sinister.

Judging by the hundreds of comments left under the “apology”, very few people indeed found this short film funny.

Here is a selection of typical reactions:

archduke 02 October:

This really shows your colors. And you folks say you just, “missed the mark.” Reprehensible, irresponsible.

More eco-fascist propaganda. When will you people stop trying to brainwash others into subscribing to your quasi-religious beliefs? This has gone from being a middle-class guilt trip to an incitement to commit violence against those who don’t agree with your fantasies.

Richard Heyes02 October,

As a teacher myself i am totally shocked that you could think children would not be deeply affected by this, adults can see the reality and stupidity of it, but kids are not so discerning!
Tim McNabb02 October,

That was the most disturbing thing I have seen in decades. I am a father and grandfather, and to watch a schoolmarm push a button ending the lives of children, even in jest, demonstrates a level of moral depravity I cannot quite wrap my arms around.

Paul Oakley01 October,

Your science is flawed and your bullying is inexcusable.

Some of the warmists were also disgusted and ashamed at the propaganda…

Chris Merrick02 October,

One of the most despicable things I have seen for a very long time. Yes, climate change is a real problem, but you really need to look into your hearts and wonder if you have lost touch with normal humanity.

Nick Brown02 October,

Brilliant. The deniers are generally to the right of Genghis Khan, but you’ve managed to make even that bunch of swivel-eyed loons look like sweet, reasonable people, by suggesting in entirely unambiguous terms that anyone who doesn’t want to cut their footprint by 10% should be killed.

Mary Estelle Owens3:01 am,

You really screwed things up for those of us who aren’t terrorists. Thank you for being stupid, now all the deniers think we are all crazy and stupid like those of you that participated in making this film, you bunch of freaks.

However, even the diehard Gaia worshipper still doesn’t get it. Presumably, Paul is one of the many people who found the film extremely funny.

Paul02 October,

If it annoys the minority of skeptic nutters that can be bothered to comment here. Then lets put it back up. I can’t think of a better group of people to wind up.

Poor Paul is so into his religion that he doesn’t see that almost every comment is a negative one. But even the believers who disagree with this particular piece of sick propaganda (which even Goebbels would probably have been embarrassed by) feel the need to be disrespectful to the many who are sceptical. The usual names are trotted out: deniers, swivel-eyed loons and the all-time favourite, nutters. Sensible debate and even original insults are obviously way beyond their capabilities. They likely have no idea at all about the science. They just believe.

They just believe, because as Cranmer wrote last year, Environmentalism is the new Religion of Peace.

Mr Nicholson contends that, while Grainger [his employers] preached the Green gospel, the firm’s executives would turn up at meetings in ‘some of the most highly polluting cars on the road’. He was therefore at odds with his employer, and believes he was persecuted for his beliefs.

His solicitor, Shah Qureshi, said: “Essentially what the judgment says is that a belief in man-made climate change and the alleged resulting moral imperative is capable of being a philosophical belief and is therefore protected by the 2003 religion or belief regulations.”

Whatever the truth about climate change, the “leaders of the free world” with the help of their obliging attack dogs are removing our freedoms and taxing us more in the name of saving the planet. To further the agenda of global governance, various international agencies will be given the authority to tax us directly and dictate policy to our government. The invertebrates recently elected to serve us will of course genuflect before the green goddess and rubber-stamp the globalist policies designed to enslave and impoverish believer and denier alike. For example, the UK is likely to be fined billions of pounds a year to make reparations to developing countries for the damage our industrialised society has allegedly caused them.

The science will not matter; this is now about religion and the infidel denier will be forced to comply. The believer will sacrifice everything for Gaia and willingly pay his tithes to her apostles in the UN as they dream up ever more devious ways to de-industrialise our society.

The time might even come when Gaia has enough followers that the 10:10 video will be considered a documentary. Unless we act. And never let the world forget this sick piece of propaganda.

A MAJOR environmental battle is looming over plans to open Scotland’s first gold mine within a national park.

Owners of the Cononish mine, near Tyndrum, expect to extract up to 73,000 tonnes of ore per year for a decade to cash in on demand for the precious metal, which has soared in price over the last two years.

But the plan has been dealt a major blow by a formal objection from Scottish Natural Heritage, the government’s countryside adviser, which says that the mine will damage the surrounding landscape.

Well, that’s a shame, but the countryside is not a museum. People live and work there, or try to work there.

At least four other environment bodies – including the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (Sepa) – have also raised concerns about the plan because of the potential risk to the protected Loch Lomond and The Trossachs Park area.

There was no real environmental need to turn these areas of Scotland into national parks in the first place. It was probably a good idea to encourage tourists to the area, but so is a goldmine with its inevitable shop.

SNH is also concerned about possible harm to salmon in the River Tay, one of Scotland’s prime angling rivers, from sediment leaking out of the mine workings into tributaries.

The application to open the mine has been lodged by Scotgold Resources Limited, which has carried out tests confirming the presence of gold at the Cononish site, two miles west of Tyndrum.

If permission is granted, mining will take place between 7am and 11pm six days a week. As well as underground workings, Scotgold intends to construct a service and production building, a storage area, pond, access roads, a bridge and a car park. It also wants to divert a nearby burn.

But a report for the SNH board says the mine would have “a major adverse impact on landscape character” during its construction and operation. It would also substantially increase the amount of disturbance and manmade infrastructure in a “sensitive open upland landscape”.

In other words, people will see building work in progress, followed by signs of very small-scale industrial activity. In Scotland? How awful.

A natural gorge would be lost due to diverting the burn, and the setting of the Eas Anie waterfall would be affected.

Darren Hemsley, the SNH area officer, said the local plan for the national park spells out that support will be given to proposals to reopen old mineral sites only if “there will be no adverse effect on the park’s special qualities”.

And employment for local people clearly isn’t considered a special quality. No, the rights of local people were signed away. And notice how these pen-pushers are known as officers. It is important for the state to get the terminology right so that we proles know our place.

Scotgold says the mine will create up to 50 jobs and bring around £1.5 million annually to the area. Support has come from Strathfillan Community Council on the grounds that the mine would support the “flagging economy”.

But Hemsley said SNH had concluded that the potential economic benefits to the local economy were “not of national or regional significance”.

Just local significance. Why does this not matter to them?

Sepa is concerned that the diversion of the burn could cause a flood risk, while RSPB Scotland says mining activity could affect peregrine falcons nesting nearby. The Scottish Campaign for National Parks and the Friends of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs have also raised concerns.

Robert Maund, chairman of the Scottish Campaign for National Parks, said the mine would “industrialise” the park. It would be built next to Scotland’s most popular long-distance route, the West Highland Way, which attracts up to 50,000 walkers every year.

And a small goldmine would put them off? They can’t be very keen walkers.

The park board will meet in June to decide on whether to allow the mine to go ahead. Members must reconcile dual aims set out in the legislation under which the park was created, which says that the authority has a duty to both conserve the natural heritage of the area and to promote economic development.

Ah-ha, so they have a duty to promote economic development.

Chris Sangster, Scotgold chief executive, said he was in the process of responding to concerns among organisations that had objected.

That should take a while as there seems to be a lot of organisations, mostly tax-payer funded by the looks of it.

Here we see, yet again, how our overbearing state with its vast army of jobsworths can gang up on people trying to make an honest living. I have emphasised some words used in this article: potential, possible and a couple of coulds.

It sounds like they are struggling to come up with real evidence of impending ecological disaster if a small mine is opened for ten years.

Imagine if the ‘authorities’ in California decided in 1849 that, actually, the scenery was rather nice and no mining was allowed. San Francisco would still be a fishing village. Or if the vast number of coalmines which dominated the landscape of parts of Britain had never been operational, which would have been the case if the state had been as intrusive in the 18th Century.

The Industrial Revolution would never have happened. Well, it would have, but in a country which wasn’t governed by quangos, fake charities and other assorted ne’er-do-wells who pick up nice salaries for no discernable benefit to anyone. The tourism of north Wales and Cornwall depends to an extent on its former slate and tin mines. Why are disused mining works blotting the landscape celebrated there, yet an operational one in Scotland is envisaged as a horror? It seems to be the in-thing to be proud of our industrial heritage, while importing and outsourcing as much as possible, to the obvious detriment of the whole country.

Yes, there’s gold in them thar hills, but just leave it there and keep fifty local people on the dole in case the sight of some new buildings upsets a hiker or a couple of falcons object and move somewhere else.

Only in Britain.

Another attack on common sense and a kick in the teeth for those of us – the majority – who don’t want all life on the planet endangered with genetically modified crops.

BRUSSELS — The European Commission began a new push Tuesday to allow farmers in Europe to grow more biotech crops, clearing a genetically modified potato for cultivation despite persistent public opposition to the technology.

In the first such step in more than a decade, the commission approved the Amflora potato produced by the German company BASF for cultivation inside the 27-country European Union. John Dalli, the bloc’s health commissioner, said the potatoes could be planted in Europe, with some conditions, as soon as next month.

BASF? So this is what they are doing since the demise of the videotape. The potatoes could be planted in Europe as soon as next month. No point asking us proles what we want.

The potato is engineered to be unusually rich in a starch suitable for making glossy paper and other products, as well as for feeding animals.

Currently the only other biotech crop grown in Europe is a type of corn produced by Monsanto, which was approved in 1998. On Tuesday, the commission also approved three additional types of genetically modified corn by Monsanto for food and feed, but those are for import and processing rather than cultivation.

Do I take it that these seeds are going to be sold to Third World farmers for an exorbitant price? And they will have to buy the patented seed from Monsanto every year thereafter. I think neocolonialism is probably the right word.

For the biotech industry, the decisions handed down by Mr. Dalli, who took office last month, could signal the emergence of a major new advocate for genetically modified products in Europe.

I wonder how long the biotech industry tended this weed.

At a news conference in Brussels, Mr. Dalli, who is from Malta, also said he would present a proposal this summer to give national governments more authority to decide whether to allow genetically modified crops to be grown within their borders. That could make it easier for biotech-friendly states to go ahead with planting certain new products even when other states disapprove of the technology.

When the EU grants national governments more authority, they must be up to something. Perhaps they expect two or three governments to risk the health of their people and farming industry with GM crops and the others will join in out of jealousy.

“Responsible innovation will be my guiding principle when dealing with innovative technologies,” he said.

That’s why one of the first things he has done is approve these crops with unknown consequences?

The bloc has long been divided over biotech crops, with countries like Britain favoring the technology and Austria in fierce opposition.

“We feel encouraged by this decisive regulatory approach,” said Willy De Greef, the secretary general for a group representing the biotech industry, EuropaBio. The “approvals represent a step in the right direction and a return to science-based decision making,” he said.

Can you see what he’s done there? He said, “a return to science-based decision making.” In other words, if you have concerns, that makes you a Neanderthal with the same IQ as a cauliflower. But of course, we all believe the scientists, don’t we? They would never tell us lies to make money or further an agenda.

The commission first forwarded an application to grow the potato to governments in May 2004. When a number of countries raised objections, the commission sent the application to experts at the European Food Safety Authority.

Experts at the authority approved the application for the potato in 2006 and 2007, and again in 2009. But because member governments were repeatedly unable to reach a qualified majority to approve the potato, the commission on Tuesday invoked its power to approve the application by a form of fiat.

This means we live in a technocracy, not a democracy.

That procedure had only been used once before to get a biotech seed to market for cultivation in Europe. The seed, called Bt176 and produced by Syngenta, no longer is grown in Europe.

The Amflora potato looks like any garden-variety spud, but in developing it, BASF included a marker gene as a way of identifying plant cells that successfully produced the desired type of starch. Some scientists have linked the marker gene to antibiotic resistance in humans, raising concerns that the ill and the elderly, especially, could become more vulnerable to disease.

I imagine that’s a plus from some of these people’s point of view.

Environmentalists reacted with fury to the decision, saying that Mr. Dalli had overstepped his mandate.

For a change, I agree with them.

The commissioner “only needed weeks in his new position to show such flagrant support for industry interests ahead of his own portfolio,” said Martin Häusling, a German member of the European Parliament for the Greens.

Opinion polls have consistently shown that a majority of European consumers are apprehensive about such technology.

Neanderthals.

The European Commission, however, wants to allow more gene-altered products into the Union to remove an irritant in trade relations with the United States and other countries that use them — and to lower costs for European farmers and industry.

“The way is now clear for commercial cultivation of Amflora this year,” Peter Eckes, the president of BASF Plant Science, said in a statement on the company’s Web site. “Amflora will strengthen the international position of the European potato starch industry.”

There are huge deposits of all types of traditional seeds being stored in Norway, presumably so that when this part of the population reduction programme has finished, the elite can grow the good stuff again.

If anyone thinks this is another of my crazy conspiracy theories then perhaps they could offer conclusive proof that GM crops are safe to eat and safe for the environment, because they are getting the blame for disappearing bees on both sides of the Atlantic, particularly in the USA where GM crops are more prevalent.

And as Albert Einstein is credited with saying: “If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man.”
