If looks could kill. Withdrawing aid from one of the world's poorest countries could.

Last week I wrote to Malawi’s High Commissioner in London in support of his country’s position on homosexuality. Steven Monjeza and Tiwonge Chimbalanga, the homosexual men who staged an ‘engagement’ ceremony a few months ago, remain in custody awaiting a full trial next week.

It looks like the veiled threats from the West of withdrawing aid have begun, at least in the shape of the SNP.

Fiona Hyslop, the external affairs minister, told organisations in Malawi that only those which agree to an equal rights agenda will benefit from the £3m aid package provided by Holyrood every year.

Churches, youth groups and Aids projects that promote a negative message about homosexuality, which is illegal in Malawi, say they will lose out.

How ironic that David Livingstone, and many other missionaries, brought the Gospel to Nyasaland from Scotland and now the Scottish “Government” is basically telling them that if they want their aid they have to renounce their beliefs.

Blantyre was founded in 1876 through the missionary work of the Church of Scotland. Named after the birthplace of Dr Livingstone in Lanarkshire, it is now Malawi’s largest city and has more people than Glasgow.

What a great legacy that is being undermined by the SNP in its bid to look like world leaders in political correctness.

The Rev Maurice Munthali, secretary general for the church’s Livingstonia Synod, said: “If they [the Scottish government] do this, we will lose support in the education sector where they support the Livingstonia University, our secondary schools across the country, our Aids programmes, the Youth Guild and the training of our reverends in Zomba and Ekwendeni Theological colleges.

“We will also lose human resource in the form of doctors and teachers that they send to us through the Church of Scotland. But we will not be subjected to evil because we are poor . . . Scotland should know that we are ready to remain poor over the issue of homosexuals because it is a sin and we stand by what the Bible says.”

If only our governments (Westminster and Edinburgh) had such principles. For a start, we would no longer be a member of the EU: the anti-Christian organisation we are supposed to believe we cannot survive economically without.

Gillian Bowditch writes, also in The Times,

The plight of Steve Monjeza and Tiwonge Chimbalanga — the two men involved — deserves sympathy, but holding a nation’s aid budget hostage to a single case is not the way to achieve it. Were a foreign government to use a financial incentive to get us to subvert our legal system, we would call it bribery.

The elites who are re-engineering Western “culture” are doing such a good job that their minions are carrying the beacon of hopelessness to developing countries who dare to want to live how they choose.

In Malawi, President Bingu wa Mutharika has spent £9m on a private jet and £3m on air-conditioned Mercedes. Rather than using aid as a tool for social and cultural engineering, Hyslop should ensure that every penny is spent wisely and every organisation that receives it is transparent and accountable.

This should be our main concern when delivering aid.

As I commented under the Times article: I hope the SNP will reconsider their decision because there is no way on earth I could vote for a party that deprives the poorest people in the world on the basis that they have the same values we had ten or twenty years ago.

I will be taking this up with the appropriate people. Sometimes, blogging is not enough.

The right legacy. St Michael and All Angels Church was constructed from 1888 to 1891 at the Blantyre Mission.

When I was at school, I learned about the great British men and women who changed our country and the world into a better place to live. There was William Wilberforce, who ended black slavery and the prison reformer, Elizabeth Fry. There were the great inventors, many of them Scottish, of course (the list is far too long to reproduce here!). There were the famous generals and admirals who fought off invading armies and navies. We read the poetry, novels and plays of gifted writers.

Not once, that I recall, were we told about their sexual behaviour.

Well now, thanks to Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender History Month, children can now learn who the famous men were who preferred to have sex with other men and the women who had sex with women. And of course, the men and women who were so promiscuous that they had sex with both genders.

It is at times like this that I feel I must have entered a parallel universe; one where the normal laws of space, time and nature have either been abandoned or changed so that this makes some kind of sense.

So what is the idea behind it?

As far as parents and teachers are led to believe, it is to help ‘LGBT’ people become more accepted and less prone to bullying.

The real purpose, of course, is to further promote lifestyles which are at odds with civilised, healthy society.

Ten years ago, Brian Souter’s private referendum in Scotland on Section 28 resulted in 7 out of 8 people who voted expressing a wish to retain this piece of legislation which protected children from such predation.

The vast majority were ignored, as usual, in this ‘democracy’ of ours and now their children and grandchildren are being brainwashed in the effort to make them ‘celebrate’ homosexuality. Just look at this from the ‘Tool Kit for Schools‘ on the LGBT History Month website:

Heteronormativity

Assertions that normal people are white, able bodied, young, middle class, heterosexual, male and Christian are endemic in so-called western societies. This results in subtle or declared barriers that affect/disadvantage people on the grounds of prejudice against anyone outside the norm (with regard to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, age, religion and belief, class and/or disability). Any disadvantage accrued by those ‘outside the norm’ is blamed on the person the ‘normal’ people see as ‘different’, that is, different from them or not ‘normal’.

This is what it is really about – totally re-engineering society. Notice how many of these ‘normal’ people are under attack in this so-called equality drive.

The elites don’t want ‘normality’, they want dysfunction. They can control us easier that way.

This is why our society has been engineered to hate Christians and pander to other religions. Many secularists and humanists think this is great, but they are too dumb to understand that the foundations of their culture and freedoms are being attacked.

New Labour has admitted using immigration to re-engineer society. Now we have reports of police forces being ‘too white’ and Parliament is ‘too white’. Even Radio 4 is ‘too white’.

The middle class must be wiped out because they are a major inconvenience to the success of socialism.

Feminism, which some say was created by the CIA specifically to destroy society, has indeed empowered women to sit at a typewriter, sewing machine or supermarket checkout for forty hours a week, while their children are dumped with strangers until they get home and it’s time to feed them, do the washing up and the other chores, then collapse exhaustedly into bed.

It’s not empowerment, it’s just another kind of slavery. With men and women at work, the state gets double the tax and has more access to your children to fill them with notions like heteronormativity, which was coined in 1991 by homosexual writer Michael Warner.

One of the people worthy of celebrating is Tom Robinson. Apparently. I remember his classic 2-4-6-8 Motorway, but he’s hardly a historical figure is he? Ah, but he did sing Glad to be Gay, but then became bisexual and a father, and it’s all this personal detail that gets the attention. That’s because this isn’t about History, but about promoting homosexuality.

UPDATE: Richard Borrett left a comment about ‘The Overhauling of Straight America‘, which is a sort of blueprint for homosexualising the USA and the tactics explained in it have been successfully imported into the UK and elsewhere. Part of the plan is very pertinent to the above post. Their agenda was to:

(4) Make gays look good. In order to make a Gay Victim sympathetic to straights you have to portray him as Everyman. But an additional theme of the campaign should be more aggressive and upbeat: to offset the increasingly bad press that these times have brought to homosexual men and women, the campaign should paint gays as superior pillars of society. Yes, yes, we know — this trick is so old it creaks. Other minorities use it all the time in ads that announce proudly, “Did you know that this Great Man (or Woman) was ________?” But the message is vital for all those straights who still picture gays as “queer” people — shadowy, lonesome, frail, drunken, suicidal, child-snatching misfits.

The honor roll of prominent gay or bisexual men and women is truly eye-popping. From Socrates to Shakespeare, from Alexander the Great to Alexander Hamilton, from Michelangelo to Walt Whitman, from Sappho to Gertrude Stein, the list is old hat to us but shocking news to heterosexual America. In no time, a skillful and clever media campaign could have the gay community looking like the veritable fairy godmother to Western Civilization.

I have a book called Heritage of Evidence in the British Museum, which details many items from the Old World which confirm the accuracy and authenticity of the Biblical record.

One which particularly captures my interest is known as the Cyrus Cylinder, a clay barrel-shaped object inscribed in cuneiform. It tells of the wickedness of Nabonidus, the last king of Babylon and how Cyrus took the city in 539 BC without shedding blood.

The King merged his own Persian empire with the Babylonian empire, which confirms the record in the book of Daniel.

New Labour people often use words like ‘progressive’, but I reckon King Cyrus was far more modernising regarding social inclusion and religious freedom.

The word ‘progressive‘ just means “moving forward; advancing” and as such can be used to try and justify any political idea, because people equate ‘progression’ with ‘improvement’ which can be a con trick.

The words of Cyrus are considered by some to be the World’s first declaration of human rights and seem much fairer than a modern politician’s ideas of what is right.

In today’s Britain, religious people are under increasing pressure to become secular. Cyrus freed the people of all religions and actually helped them rebuild their shrines and temples.

Cyrus abolished unpaid labour and denial of social standing, while in Britain, the taxation and benefits system encourages people on low wages to go cap in hand to the government. They have created an underclass with no social standing (but who know how to claim ‘entitlements’!)

I know which system sounds better to me!

Some people thought the Biblical account of Cyrus was a fairytale until the discovery of the Cylinder in the 19th Century proved it to be true.

Here’s what the Bible says:

Ezra 1:

1 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,

2 Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

3 Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel, (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem.

And from the Cyrus Cylinder:

I am Cyrus, king of the universe, the great king, the powerful king, king of Babylon, king of Sumer and Akkad, king of the four quarters of the world, son of Cambyses…

My vast troops marched peaceably in Babylon, and the whole of [Sumer] and Akkad had nothing to fear. I sought the welfare of the city of Babylon and all its sanctuaries. As for the population of Babylon who had endured a yoke, I soothed their weariness, I freed them from their bonds…. I brought relief to their dilapidated dwellings, putting (thus) an end to their (main) complaints…. I sent back to their sanctuaries across the river Tigris – whose shrines had earlier become dilapidated – the gods who lived therein, and made permanent sanctuaries for them. I collected together all of their people and returned them to their settlements…. I returned them unharmed to their cells, in the sanctuaries that make them happy.

Cyrus pretty much ruled the known civilised world at the time and so if he wanted to be nice – or nasty, that was his prerogative. He’d still be keen to fight bloody wars with his enemies, no doubt! However today, the people who rule the world – call them the ‘elite’, the ‘global cabal’, the ‘New World Order’, the ‘military-industrial complex’ or the ‘Illuminati’ – aren’t so keen on helping out the common people.

Today, across what was once known as the civilised world, or Christendom, is ruled, not by a benevolent king, but by a small number of powerful families who can influence national governments through their interests in the media, industry, banking, academia, royalty and so on.

That’s why it doesn’t matter if you vote Labour, Tory or Lib Dem. Voting Democrat or Republican also makes little real difference because they all will follow what the globalists want because they themselves are hungry for power and want to catch a few crumbs from the elite’s table.

If you’ve ever wondered why the same things are simultaneously happening in Britain, Canada, the USA, Australia and Europe, like all the rights, equality and diversity legislation being steamrollered through parliaments and the anti-freedom laws supposedly made to protect us all from the ‘terrorists’ then it’s because it is being globally orchestrated.

New Labour wants the people to believe that the unelected Lords are the enemy of ‘democracy’, but the House of Lords regularly votes to safeguard the freedoms that our elected ‘representatives’ want to deny us.

The political representatives (or ‘leaders’ as they like to call themselves) we have today are shaping up like Nabonidus, the wicked king that Cyrus deposed.

By continuing to elect the LibLabCon Party we are simply handing our freedom to the globalist social engineers on a silver platter.
