This weekend is UK Black Pride 2010. There are many black singers, speakers and DJs taking part (and a couple of token whites, like Peter Tatchell). As you can see from their website masthead, it’s a great opportunity to get up and boogie like a mad thing, if you are black and, er, gay.

Anna Raccoon has revealed that Stonewall are flapping their petticoats again because the twenty TV programmes they monitored were not ‘gay’ enough for them. Or at least, they didn’t show homosexuality in exactly the way they wanted.
The shows they watched included the popular soaps and talent shows, but they also hoped to find “positive portrayals” [...]
